Buckner Companies to host Lift & Move USA event for students and veterans Lift & Move USA introduces high school and college students and their parents to career opportunities in crane, rigging, and transportation fields. Buckner Companies will host the third of these events on May 17 at its headquarters in Graham, N.C. "Steel erection companies work hand in hand with crane and transport companies on essentially every project," said Kevin Leonard, Buckner's Training Director. "This event is an industry-wide partnership, designed to promote careers in crane, rigging, transportation and related fields." While we all compete for business on a daily basis, we are united in our competition to help fill the workforce gap that currently exists in our respective industries, said Leonard. "Lift and Move USA speaks to that purpose and reminds us all of our shared responsibility." In cooperation with SkillsUSA, Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association, National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, and American Cranes & Transport magazine, the event also has the local support of Southern Industrial. Registration is free to students, parents, teachers and veterans.
