SEAA Board Member wins Gold with Senior National Basketball Team Charlie Johnson, VP and General Manager of Steel Performance Inc., Greensboro, N.C., competed in the Land of Waterfalls Senior Games with his 3-on-3 basketball team, advancing to the national finals last year. Representing North Carolina, the Land of Waterfalls team won Gold in the 65- to 69-year-old age group, beating Bennett & Walsh from Connecticut 63-56 in the finals. The team went undefeated leading up the finals as well. The next national tournament will be in 2017. “My biggest contribution was to make four free throws in the final minute of play,” said Johnson, who bragged on the athletic prowess of other SEAA members as well. “Tom Underhill competes in triathlons, Geoff Kress plays hockey, and Duff Zimmerman is a distance runner,” he said.
