Agency, Josh Cilley - American Steel & Precast Erectors New Officers Elected to SEAA Board of Directors During its July Board of Directors Meeting held in Boston, Mass., the Steel Erectors Association of America (SEAA) elected four new officers to the Board. These individuals will serve two-year terms, concluding in 2018. David Schulz has been elected Vice President, Industry Representative. Previously serving as Secretary of the SEAA Board of Directors, Schulz is President of Schulz Iron Works Inc., Raleigh, NC. He has held numerous positions on the SEAA Board since 2007. In 2017, Schulz will become President Elect, in line to succeed the current President. Carrie Sopuch-Gulajan has been elected Vice President, Associate Representative. Sopuch-Gulajan has served on the SEAA board of directors since 2011 and currently leads the 2017 National Convention & Tradeshow Committee. She is President of Construction Insurance Agency Inc., Manassas, Va. Remaining in the position of Treasurer is Geoffrey Kress, who is Vice President of Gardner-Watson Decking Inc., Oldsmar, Fla., and President of G&G Distributors Inc., a construction fasteners and safety supply company. Chris Legnon, a Senior Sales Manager at Cooper Steel Fabricators Inc., Shelbyville, Tenn., was named to the position of Secretary. Legnon is a relatively new addition to the Board, having joined in 2015. These officers join Josh Cilley, who was named President of SEAA in April, in leading the association for the next two years. In addition to continued efforts to establish a network of SEAA/NCCER Ironworker Training Units and Assessment Sites around the country, the board will focus on Ironworker recruitment and retention projects during the next term. “I look forward to drawing on the tremendous steel construction experience and business acumen of the new SEAA officers as we look for innovative ways to engage the next generation of Ironworkers,” said Cilley.
