Golfers Raise Money for Training Grants More than 75 golfers have already registered for SEAA’s 18th Annual Education Fundraiser Golf Tournament on Friday, Oct. 20. It’s not too late to sign up for the Captain’s Choice tournament, to be held at Lonnie Poole Golf Course, Raleigh, N.C., which promises to be both fun and educational. Open to both members and non-members, the tournament is great way to find out more about the association, network with steel erectors and vendors, while raising money for Education Committee Training Grants. Register online. Members $175, Non-Members $200. Player fees include lunch, green fees, range balls, beverages, snacks on the course, and awards dinner. Golfers can purchase up to two Mulligans per player and don’t forget to purchase tickets for the Boom Lift Ball Drop. The pot is split 50/50 with the winner and the SEAA Education Committee. Cash will be awarded on site after the ball drop is complete. Thanks to the many companies whose sponsorships make this event possible. A reception, open to anyone interested in learning more about SEAA, will be held the evening prior to tournament on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel Raleigh-Crabtree. The networking opportunity will include remarks from either the SEAA President or President-Elect, and a presentation about the benefits of SEAA membership. Several board members will be available to answer questions. The reception is open to any erector, fabricator, general contractor or industry supplier.
