Weather was beautiful for the 3rd annual George R. Pocock Memorial Golf Tournament. Pocock Memorial Golf Tournament Contractors and construction firms in the SEAA Mid-Atlantic Chapter gathered in Gainesville, Va., on Sept. 5, to play golf and raise money for construction related training and educational materials and the American Cancer Society. The golf tournament honors George R. Pockock, friend of the association. The third annual golf tournament featured a Shotgun Start with Scramble format, and featured a SEAA/NCCER Ironworker Craft Training Seminar. Prizes were awarded to the four best teams as well as closest to the pin and longest drive. The First Place team consisted of Matt Kimmel, Mike Swindall, Larry Thomas, and Pete Kimmel. Winners of the “Closest to Pin” were Kevin Patrick, Frank Williams III, Don Grigg, and Jerry Clayborne. And longest drive on hole #12 went to Scott Fink.
